What You'll Do:
Product Qualification & Evaluation
- Act as a quality SME in New Product Development (NPD) meetings, collaborating across departments to ensure product conformance and customer satisfaction.
- Lead engineering and verification builds, including quality testing, documentation, and PPAP approval for new products and process changes.
- Develop and implement quality plans, inspection methods, and testing protocols to support product qualification and continuous improvement.
Process Improvement & Production Support
- Evaluate and enhance testing and measurement equipment, including programming and designing gauges.
- Lead process improvement initiatives using statistical tools (SPC, CPK, DOE, etc.), and maintain standard operating procedures.
- Support Quality Technicians and lead investigations into quality issues, driving Corrective Action Requests (CARs) and ensuring effective resolutions.
Coaching, Training & Auditing
- Mentor and train associates on quality tools, processes, and equipment, while upholding Andis Core Values.
- May perform internal audits and support ISO 9001 initiatives to maintain compliance and drive excellence.
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in a related field.
- 4–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of quality tools and problem-solving techniques (A3, 8D, FMEA, etc.).
- Experience with PPAP and APQP.
- Strong project management skills.
- Lean/6 Sigma and ISO 9001 experience preferred.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% (domestic and international).
- Solidworks experience preferred.
