As a Senior Data Engineer, you’ll play a key role in building data systems that handle sensitive financial data, drive real-time decisioning, and enable analytics across the organization.

As a Senior Data Engineer, you’ll play a key role in building data systems that handle sensitive financial data, drive real-time decisioning, and enable analytics across the organization.
You’ll work closely with product managers, compliance experts, and engineering teams to ensure our data platforms not only scale with rapid growth but also meet the highest standards of accuracy, governance, and security. This is a hands-on role with direct impact on how we manage, analyze, and deliver data across high-value fintech applications.
What You’ll Do
- Architect Scalable Pipelines: Build and optimize ETL/ELT workflows and real-time streaming systems that power financial products and compliance reporting.
- Ensure Data Quality: Implement validation, lineage tracking, and governance practices to guarantee trustworthy financial datasets.
- Integrate Across Systems: Design data flows connecting payment processors, banking APIs, risk systems, and analytics platforms.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work with risk, compliance, and product teams to deliver data solutions that satisfy regulatory and business requirements.
- Enable Advanced Analytics: Support data science and BI teams with reliable, structured, and high-performance datasets.
- Drive Observability: Implement monitoring and alerting for data pipelines to ensure transparency and reliability in production.
- Mentor & Guide: Share best practices in data engineering with peers and contribute to shaping engineering culture in a scaling fintech environment.
- Professional Experience: 5-8 years in data engineering, ideally within fintech, banking, or other regulated industries.
- Programming Skills: Expertise in Python or Scala, with strong SQL experience.
- Data Platforms: Hands-on experience with modern warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift) and data lakes.
- Streaming & Orchestration: Knowledge of Kafka, Spark, Flink, Airflow, dbt, or similar frameworks.
- Cloud Expertise: Proficiency with AWS, GCP, or Azure, including security and compliance tooling.
- Financial Data Understanding: Familiarity with transaction data, payments, or risk modeling systems is strongly preferred.
- Governance & Security: Experience with data privacy, encryption, and regulatory compliance (SOC 2, PCI, GDPR, etc.).
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related quantitative field.
