Responsibilities
- Operate tractor-trailers across long-distance routes, ensuring timely delivery of freight to various destinations.
- Utilize GPS navigation systems to plan optimal routes and ensure adherence to schedule.
- Comply fully with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), DOT (Department of Transportation), hazardous materials regulations, and other safety standards.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to maintain vehicle safety and report any issues promptly.
- Maintain professionalism while representing the company during interactions with clients, dispatchers, and other team members.
Requirements
- Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record in the past year is a MUST!
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, especially in over-the-road (OTR) routes involving freight delivery..
- Ability to operate GPS navigation systems effectively for route planning.
- Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols.
