Responsibilities
- Safely operate a tractor-trailer truck on local routes, ensuring timely deliveries within designated areas
- Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems, optimizing delivery times and fuel usage
- Comply with all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, including hours of service and safety standards
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo documentation, and delivery records in accordance with regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Valid CDL A license with proven experience in commercial truck driving and route delivery
- Strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT compliance, and hazardous materials handling standards
- Strong commitment to safety protocols and excellent driving record
