Merry Edwards Winery was founded in 1997 and produces terroir-driven, single-vineyard Pinot Noirs, including the winery flagship Meredith Estate, from 80 acres of certified sustainable estate vineyards in the Russian River Valley. The wines are produced with respect for the land using site-specific viticulture, adhering to the winegrowing tradition begun by legendary winemaker Merry Edwards and carried on by her successor, Heidi von der Mehden.
After a recent acquisition, the winery is now under the ownership of Maison Louis Roederer in France. Maison Louis Roederer has remained an independent, family-owned company and is now managed by Frédéric Rouzaud, who represents the seventh generation of the family's lineage. The family and its wineries are focused on estate-based wineries and vineyard practices that always start with land stewardship to craft the highest quality wines.
Position Summary:
The Warehouse Associate plays a key role in warehouse operations, order fulfillment, and inventory handling. This position is responsible for safely loading and unloading trucks, preparing shipments, moving and replenishing inventory, and ensuring all documentation is accurate. The ideal candidate is comfortable with physical labor, forklift operation, and working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
This is a part-time position located onsite at Merry Edwards Winery.
Job duties:
Shipping & Receiving
- Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
- Verify all aspects of outbound orders before loading.
- Accurately document inbound and outbound shipments.
- Rework and repack damaged product as needed.
Order Picking & Inventory Management
- Pick and prepare customer and internal orders accurately.
- Stack, wrap, and label shipments for delivery.
- Move inventory to proper locations in warehouse racks.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts and stock replenishment.
Warehouse Operations
- Operate forklifts and attachments safely and proficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment.
- Perform general housekeeping and follow safety protocols.
- Complete other tasks as assigned by the Warehouse & Fulfillment Manager.
- Production help:
- Wax, label, and package all large format bottles
- Forklift driving during bottling
- Occasional harvest duties such as racking or barrel work
- Bottle labeling/relabeling projects
Required Skills & Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Forklift certification required or willingness to obtain certification.
- Prior experience in warehouse, shipping, or fulfillment preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly.
Physical Demands:
- Regularly required to stand or be on your feet up to seven hours per day
- Ability to move cases of wine (40 lbs average), event tables, chairs, and related equipment
- Forklift operation to load and unload trucks or move pallets of wine
Pay: $18.00 per hour
