Comments and Other Information
If they do not have it at the time of hire, the selected candidate will be required to obtain their B-P license with a Bus Special Certificate during the probationary period.
Candidates may be hired at the Mechanic level with the expectation that they will meet all qualifications for Mechanic II prior to the completion of the probationary period. The District will support this advancement by providing the required B-P license training. Upon hire, employees will be placed on the appropriate Mechanic salary range and will be reclassified to the Mechanic II salary range once all qualifications are successfully met within the probationary timeframe.
