What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Technician position at Anderson School District One?
220 Day Contract
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred, two-year degree required or the equivalent combination of training and experience
- Maintain, support, operate, and repair district devices including but not limited to PCs, laptops, Macs, Chromebooks, printers, phones, projectors, interactive panels, and iPads.
- Serve as an onsite technical resource to all users.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software problems with a thorough understanding of system hardware and operating systems. Simple network understanding and troubleshooting experience necessary.
- Provide information and assistance to students, teachers, and other staff members in a timely and professional manner.
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Maintain detailed documentation of work completed in the district ticket system.
- Establish and maintain a professional rapport with teachers, staff, and students. Need to be an advocate for those in your assigned location and the technology department as a whole.
- Process and follow up on all reported problems as necessary while maintaining confidentiality and privacy.
- Participate in all related training, conferences, seminars, or webinars as related to job function.
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds, work under desks and other tight spaces.
- Must be able to work in team situations and individually with minimal supervision.
- Ability to look at a computer screen for an extended period of time.
- Reliable transportation is necessary.
