EVALUATION : GENERAL DESCRIPTION
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The purpose of this classification is to maintain accurate student records including attendance records, PowerSchool data, and reports for funding and educational documentation.
Responsible for greeting visitors, answering and routing phone calls, and coordinating sign-in sheets, late arrivals, or early dismissal of students.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
1) Calculate, enter, and maintain student attendance records detailed with tardiness, absences, medical excuses, court documents, parental documentation, and truancy issues.
2) Assist with telephone and reception duties, and ensure the safety of students dismissed through the front office.
4) Process student enrollments and transfers, withdrawals, expulsions, and home-based or homebound student data.
5) Maintain student records in PowerSchool to include : class schedules, activities, disciplinary incidents, expulsions, and disabilities.
6) Enter and update data on newly assigned teachers and student demographics.
7) Maintain payroll, reconcile absences, substitute request, home-based and homebound teacher’s payroll, and other data in AESOP.
8) Maintain data for Magnet School students, Special Education students and accounting, and provide records to DSS on Special Education Students.
9) Schedule conferences with parents and truancy officers as required, concerning attendance.
10) Provide administrative and clerical support for the Assistant Principal, staff and faculty as assigned.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES

- Prepare bi-weekly report of students categorized by ethnicity, special education, grade, and self-contained students.
- Coordinate and prepare quarterly awards.
- Assist with bus transportation issues, and input bus discipline referrals.
- Prepare verification reports and report cards quarterly.
- Order supplies and materials for instructors.
- Notify parents of disciplinary referrals due to tardiness.

EDUCATION : Completion of high school / GED. Associate’s degree preferred
