What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior HVAC Estimator position at Anderson, Rowe & Buckley, Inc.?
As our HVAC Senior Estimator, you will play a critical role in the pre-construction phase, leading the estimating efforts for Design-Build and Design-Assist HVAC projects in our San Francisco office. You’ll work closely with project teams, clients, and engineers to develop accurate budgets, assess constructability, and support the successful closing of projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead the estimating and budgeting process for HVAC systems in commercial construction projects.
- Evaluate project documents and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define scope, pricing, and schedules.
- Provide value-engineering solutions and equipment selection guidance during pre-construction.
- Ensure constructability and system integration through detailed project reviews.
- Support the sales and business development team by preparing compelling proposals and participating in project interviews and presentations.
- Maintain and update cost databases and historical pricing models to improve estimating accuracy.
Qualifications
- 7 years of experience in HVAC estimating, with a focus on Design-Build and/or Design-Assist projects.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, mechanical codes, and industry standards.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
- Experience with estimating software and tools (e.g., Trimble, Bluebeam, MS Excel).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Salary Range
Annual salary from $175k to $210k, and higher for exceptional candidates.
