Job Title: Public Services Librarian
Description/Responsibilities:
Anderson Public Library is looking for an enthusiastic professional librarian to provide reference assistance and readers advisory services to a diverse community. The person in this position will develop, plan, and present a variety of reading, educational and diverse programs for adults to encourage library usage and to foster strong community relations. The ideal candidate will assist library customers in the use of library services, spaces, equipment, and technology.
Qualifications:
Master of Library Science degree from ALA accredited school; ability to obtain certification from Indiana State Library; at least two years – five years of experience preferred, working knowledge of electronic resources, social media, and web technologies; experience developing and conducting programming activities, public service minded with an emphasis on working with our customers and partners in the local community.
Compensation: $41,026.96 annually; excellent benefits package
Schedule: 40 hours per week, including evening and weekend shifts
