We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable individual to join our team as a Sort Specialist. This hands-on role ranges from assembling small precision metal components, to performing basic visual checks for quality, and preparing parts for shipment to customers.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable individual to join our team as a Sort Specialist. This hands-on role ranges from assembling small precision metal components, to performing basic visual checks for quality, and preparing parts for shipment to customers.
Production Duties
- Perform visual inspections of precision-turned metal parts to verify conformance with part specifications and quality standards and pack finished parts for customer delivery.
- Utilize hard gages (e.g., plug and ring gages) to inspect precision-turned metal parts and assess suspect inventory for customer delivery.
- Accurately complete production and quality records as required
- Maintain consistent production and inspection rates while adhering to all quality requirements.
General Responsibilities
- Follow all standard operating procedures and company processes.
- Remain vigilant about potential safety hazards or violations; promptly report concerns to management.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, DEC, EPA, and other applicable regulations.
- Proactively contribute ideas for process and quality improvements.
Essential Physical Requirements
- Ability to use fingers, hands, and arms to quickly and repeatedly adjust machine controls to exact position, grasp, and manipulate very small parts and hold machinery and parts in a steady pattern
- Ability to push, pull, lift and move materials weighing zero to 50 pounds
- Regularly required to stand, bend, sit and move to operate machines and move around facility
