  • $80,000 – $100,000 annually
  • Paid time off

Position Overview

Anderson Perry is seeking a motivated and passionate Wastewater Project Engineer to join our growing wastewater division. This role supports the planning, design, and delivery of municipal and industrial wastewater projects, including collection systems, pump stations, and treatment facilities.

You’ll be integrated into a collaborative, team-oriented environment where you’ll work on meaningful infrastructure projects, gain hands-on client interaction, and accelerate your career growth from project support to project management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with a team to fund, plan, and design municipal wastewater systems
  • Design wastewater infrastructure including sewer lift stations, treatment systems, and site development
  • Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports
  • Develop planning documents such as:
  • Wastewater Facility Plans
  • Sanitary Sewer Collection System Plans
  • Recycled Water Use Plans
  • Industrial Pretreatment Plans
  • Assist with project scopes, budgets, schedules, and delivery strategies
  • Support permitting efforts and funding applications
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, and subconsultants
  • Perform construction administration tasks, including submittal review and field observations
  • Prepare cost estimates and quantity take-offs
  • Participate in public meetings and presentations
  • Help meet project and company financial goals
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university
  • 3 years of relevant design experience (pump stations, water/wastewater systems, or similar infrastructure)
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Oregon and/or Washington, or ability to obtain within one year
  • Valid driver’s license
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Knowledge of wastewater collection, pumping, and treatment systems
  • Experience with municipal infrastructure funding programs and permitting processes
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills
  • Public speaking experience and comfort presenting to clients, agencies, or the public
  • Experience developing planning documents, work agreements, and task orders
  • Familiarity with Civil 3D, Bluebeam, and PDF tools (preferred)
  • Experience coordinating with subconsultants
  • Ability to manage schedules, resources, and multiple deliverables
  • Team-oriented mindset with strong relationship-building skills
