Position Overview:
The Medical Assistant role at Anderson Longevity Clinic® is a great opportunity for growth within the wellness field. We are seeking an MA that can be flexible and driven in a new clinic, offering room for advancement. Moving between front desk and patient care tasks, our MA will gain experience in patient communication, direct patient care, phlebotomy, procedures, office organization, and more. As such, the MA is critical to creating an exceptional and personal experience for each patient. The MA will play a key role in the daily operations of the clinic through the completion of clerical tasks, patient service, and appropriate in-scope support to the Provider and other clinic staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional, compassionate, and ethical service in all interactions with patients.
- Answer and direct phone calls to appropriate staff.
- Greet and room patients upon arrival for appointments.
- Make appointments.
- Process payments.
- Maintain patient records.
- Proactively organize and prepare appropriate documentation for patient appointments.
- Participate in all sales initiatives, including but not limited to, encouraging and soliciting patient referrals as appropriate.
- Hold and maintain any certifications that may be required to meet local, state, or federal requirements.
- Maintain a clear, organized, and hygienic work area based on health and safety regulations and the guidelines of the medical institution.
- Appropriately use and maintain all technical equipment used to safely draw blood from patients.
- Clearly explain the process of drawing blood to a patient and provide compassionate reassurance as needed.
- Apply professional knowledge and technical skill to safely draw blood from patients using appropriate equipment.
- Provide appropriate post-draw care including but not limited to applying dressings to the draw wound.
- Accurately label, prepare, and send samples to approved laboratories.
- Assists with maintaining the appearance of the clinic front of house.
- Complete all initial and future franchisor required training within the required timeframe.
- Additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned or outlined in Anderson Longevity Clinic® Operations Manual.
Qualifications:
- Certified Medical Assistant
- 1 years of experience in phlebotomy a plus
- Proven success in leadership roles.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well on a team.
Compensation & Benefits:
- $22-30/hour based on experience
