Overview
We are looking for a friendly and motivated Store Position team member to join our retail environment. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys engaging with customers, maintaining a well-organized store, and supporting sales operations. As a key part of our team, you will help create a welcoming shopping experience while ensuring the store runs smoothly. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with product inquiries, providing knowledgeable recommendations and product demos when needed.
- Operate the cash register (POS system) accurately during retail sales transactions, including handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods.
- Stock shelves and organize merchandise to ensure the store remains attractive and easy to navigate.
- Support upselling efforts by suggesting additional products and promotions to enhance customer satisfaction and sales.
- Maintain excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely.
- Assist with merchandising tasks to display products appealingly and according to store standards.
- Handle cash drawer operations responsibly, including cash handling, balancing registers, and managing cash register operations.
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales or Liquor store environments is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is key!
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and making change accurately.
- Experience with POS systems and cashiering procedures is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of retail store product knowledge and merchandising techniques.
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professionalism.
- Supervising experience is a bonus but not required; leadership qualities are appreciated for growth within the team.
