Responsibilities
- Install residential HVAC systems including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, air handlers, evaporator coils, thermostats, and ductless mini split systems
- Perform complete HVAC changeouts and new system installations according to manufacturer specifications and local codes
- Install and connect refrigerant lines, drain lines, electrical components, low-voltage wiring, disconnects, and condensate systems
- Braze copper linesets, pressure test systems, evacuate systems properly, and charge equipment to manufacturer specifications
- Install and modify ductwork as needed for proper airflow and system performance
- Startup and test newly installed HVAC equipment to ensure proper operation, airflow, refrigerant charge, and customer comfort
- Maintain clean and organized job sites while representing the company professionally in customers’ homes
- Work safely and efficiently while following all company safety standards and installation procedures
- Communicate clearly with homeowners regarding system operation, thermostat usage, and basic maintenance recommendations
- Operate company vehicles, tools, and equipment responsibly and professionally
- Work closely with team members to complete installations on time and at a high quality standard
- Boiler and ductless installation experience is a plus
Experience
- Proven residential HVAC installation experience including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, air handlers, coils, and ductless mini split systems
- Strong understanding of HVAC installation practices, airflow, ductwork modifications, refrigerant piping, electrical connections, and system startup procedures
- Experience performing full system changeouts and equipment replacements in residential homes
- Ability to read installation manuals, wiring diagrams, and equipment specifications accurately
- Skilled in brazing, pressure testing, vacuum procedures, refrigerant charging, and equipment commissioning
- Familiarity with installing thermostats, low voltage wiring, condensate systems, disconnects, and related HVAC components
- Boiler and ductless installation experience is a plus
- EPA Certification preferred
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Strong work ethic, professionalism, and pride in high-quality workmanship
