Full Job Description:

The basic function of the service and inspections helper will be to work with and learn from senior service technicians and senior inspectors how to properly inspect, service, and maintain life safety systems & equipment. Our ideal candidate will have a strong desire to learn and grow, be customer and safety focused, and be able to work diligently as a part of the Anderson Fire Protection team.

Responsibilities:

• Assist inspectors and fitters on installs, service, and inspection projects. Travel to properties as required by the specific assignment.
• Interact with customers and co-workers on a daily basis.
• Follow safety rules and requirements.
• Others duties may be required but are not outlined. Will vary as your industry knowledge grows!

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum 0 – 1 year of industry experience.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Excellent administrative, organizational skills, and computer software knowledge.
• Good mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and provide excellent customer service.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written.
• Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 70 lbs.
• Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment, working in attic spaces with duct, crawl spaces and above ceilings.
• Read and understand blue prints, diagrams, specifications, and NFPA codes used in specific activities.

Ability to work flexible hours.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
