Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our dynamic team in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the efficient movement of materials and products throughout our 2 buildings, ensuring that operations run smoothly and effectively. This position requires a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Operate standup and sit down forklifts and pallet jacks to move materials and products within the warehouse and load/unload trucks.
- Perform picking and packing of orders accurately to meet customer demands.
- Perform kitting and packing of parts kits for internal customers.
- Assist in maintaining an organized warehouse environment, ensuring all items are stored correctly.
- Conduct regular stock checks and assist with inventory management using MRP systems.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals and deadlines.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center setting is preferred.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Familiarity with picking, packing, and packaging processes.
- Basic math skills for accurate inventory management and order processing.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Willingness to adhere to safety standards and practices at all times.
- Good work ethic.
- Flexibility with time, able to switch tasks with minimal disruption.
