Right of Way Technician

POSITION: RIGHT OF WAY TECHNICIAN
DEPARTMENT: WASTE WATER
Responsibilities:
Performs a variety of rights-of-way cleaning, clearing, inspections, and maintenance on all County Waste Water Rights-of-Ways
Required Licenses or Certifications
- A valid SC Driver’s license and CDL certification with Tanker Endorsement, or ability to obtain one.
- Ability to obtain Wastewater Certifications.
Competencies for Successful Performance of Job Duties
- Considerable knowledge of sewer equipment, facilities, materials, methods, and procedures used in maintenance and repair activities.
- Skill in the operation of some of the listed tools and equipment.
- Ability to perform heavy manual tasks for extended periods of time; ability to work safely; ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other departments, and the public; ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Formal Education and Experience
- High School diploma or equivalency
- Up to 1 year experience
