Grand Oaks Elementary School is looking for a K-5 PE Teacher.
Duties:
- Develop and implement physical education lesson plans and curriculum
- Teach physical education classes to students of various ages and skill levels
- Provide instruction on proper exercise techniques, sportsmanship, and teamwork
- Assess student performance and provide feedback on progress
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Incorporate technology and learning tools into physical education lessons
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support student success
- Organize and supervise physical education activities, such as sports teams or fitness clubs
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Education or a related field
- Valid teaching certification in Physical Education
- Experience working with students in a classroom setting
- Knowledge of effective classroom management techniques
- Familiarity with learning technology and online learning management systems (LMS)
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners, including those with autism or special needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Skills:
- Proofreading: Ability to review and edit written materials for accuracy and clarity.
- LMS (Learning Management System): Experience using online platforms to deliver educational content, track student progress, and facilitate communication.
- Classroom management: Ability to create a positive and structured learning environment, manage student behavior, and promote engagement.
- Learning technology: Familiarity with educational tools and resources that enhance student learning, such as interactive software or apps.
- Working with students with autism: Experience supporting the unique needs of students on the autism spectrum through differentiated instruction and individualized support.
- Literacy education: Knowledge of strategies for integrating literacy skills into physical education lessons to promote overall student development.
- Experience working with early childhood education: Understanding of age-appropriate physical activities and instructional methods for young learners.
