Transportation Safety Assistant

TITLE:                                      Transportation Safety Assistant

QUALIFICATIONS:              18 years of age or older and good physical condition

                                           Demonstrated aptitude for the work to be performed

REPORTS TO:                        Assigned Supervisor

SUPERVISES:                         None

JOB GOAL:                             To provide safe and efficient transportation so that

students may enjoy the fullest possible advantage from the District’s curriculum and extra curricular program

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Rides bus route to pick up and deliver students.

1. Assists with loading and unloading passengers.

1. Monitors medical conditions and behavior changes.

1. Maintains equipment.

1. Assists bus driver with discipline on the bus.

1. Promotes good public relations through professional and ethical execution of job.

1. Participates in staff development programs.

1. Performs other duties as directed.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:       180 days.  Salary to be determined by the salary schedule established by the Board.
