What You’ll Be Doing
As a Resident in Counseling at Anderson, you’ll have a manageable caseload that allows you to:
Provide individual, family, and/or group counseling in your areas of interest
Develop collaborative, strengths-based treatment plans with your clients
Conduct intakes and assessments with the support of experienced clinicians
Utilize evidence-based practices in real-world settings
Receive weekly LPC supervision that is both supportive and skill-building
Work in the -office, including telehealth
Collaborate with a passionate, close-knit team who values work-life balance
Grow into a full-time clinician role, with mentorship every step of the way
What We’re Looking For
Must Have:
Master’s degree in Counseling or Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CACREP or equivalent)
Registered Resident in Counseling with the Virginia Board
A genuine passion for helping others and growing as a clinician
Strong communication and emotional intelligence skills
A desire to work in a collaborative, team-driven environment
Nice to Have (but not required):
Experience with children, teens, or families
Training in CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care, or motivational interviewing
Bilingual (especially Spanish or ASL)
Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR), but we’ll train you!
