The Child Nutrition Program Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the integrity, compliance, and smooth daily operation of Anderson Center for Autism’s School Food Authority under the USDA Child Nutrition Program and New York State Education Department regulations. This position provides administrative, documentation, and compliance oversight for meal counting, claiming, production records, and regulatory reporting across both school and residential settings.

Working in close collaboration with the Food Service Supervisor and interdisciplinary partners, the Coordinator helps safeguard federal reimbursement, supports audit readiness, and ensures consistent implementation of nutrition program requirements that directly contribute to the health, dignity, and quality of life of the individuals we serve.

Pay Range: $60,580.00 - $65,780.00 Salary; Based on experience

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure accurate meal counting, documentation, and reimbursement compliance for the Child Nutrition Program
  • Maintain production records, menus, and supporting documentation in accordance with USDA and NYSED requirements
  • Prepare and organize meal claim and regulatory documentation to support audits and monitoring reviews
  • Manage the Child Nutrition Management System (CNMS) and track required deadlines and reporting
  • Coordinate child nutrition documentation and compliance practices across school and residential programs
  • Collaborate with the Food Service Supervisor, Registered Dietitian, and interdisciplinary partners to ensure consistent program implementation
  • Monitor documentation for accuracy, provide guidance when deficiencies are identified, and support corrective actions
  • Support internal controls and routine compliance checks to protect program integrity and federal reimbursement
  • Communicate professionally and maintain organized records aligned with agency policies and Quality of Life priorities

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent education and experience
  • At least one year of experience in school nutrition programs or a related setting
  • Experience with Mosaic or similar nutrition and production software preferred
  • Strong organizational, documentation, and data management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic record‑keeping systems
  • Ability to manage multiple regulatory deadlines and collaborate across departments
  • High attention to detail and commitment to compliance integrity
