What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavior Technician/RBT - Latham position at Anderson Center for Autism?
QUALITY OF LIFE EXPECTATION FOR ALL STAFF:
To actively further the agency’s mission to optimize quality of life (QofL) for individuals served by monitoring and implementing systems that promote the QofL of the individuals in our care.
Pay: $20.00/Hourly
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorder and other related Developmental Disabilities.
- Provides quality, evidence based clinical services
- Provide direct care to individuals in a one-on-one or group therapy setting to implement skill acquisition and behavior reduction treatments as directed and supervised by the LBA/BCBA.
- Collect and record data on individual behavior.
- Collaborate, communicate, and assist with the training of individuals and family members as in line with individualized treatment and behavior reduction protocols
- Provide a safe and supportive environment for all those within the Anderson Center community
- Effectively communicate with parents and caregivers regarding individual’s progress as instructed by LBA/BCBA
- Adheres to departmental/institutional policies, procedures, and practices.
- Participate in agency training expectations, professional development, and training initiatives.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Behavior Technicians will have a minimum of a High School Diploma (or equivalent).
- The Behavior technician will have completed 40 hours of training.
- New York State Education Department [NYSED] Fingerprint Clearance required.
- Experience working with autistic children of varying ages, and knowledge of applied behavior analysis preferred.
