Description

Anderson Auto is looking for a shuttle driver to join our team. The shuttle driver is responsible for picking up and dropping off customers. This is an important job that directly contributes to the success of business operations.

Required Education/Skills/Abilities

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 3 to 5 years driving experience, with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to work outdoors and be physically active for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to operate both standard and automatic vehicles.
  • Must be friendly, courteous, and happy to be of service to others.
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills.
  • Must enjoy and excel in a team environment.
  • Must be dedicated and reliable.
  • Must have good situational awareness and always operate in a safe manner.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screening and background check.

Qualifications


Summary/Objective

The shuttle driver helps to ensure that our customers have a positive experience by safely and courteously driving them to and from their homes or workplaces.  

Essential Functions

  • Shuttle customers to and from home or business.
  • Pick up or deliver customer vehicles.
  • Maintain the proper speed limit, obeying all traffic and motor vehicle laws.
  • Drive no more than 10 mph when on dealership property.
  • Must be observant at all times of other moving vehicles and pedestrian's, operating in a safe and courteous manner.
  • Maintain vehicles in excellent condition by re-fueling and cleaning, and any routine maintenance needed.
  • Performs all duties in a safe manner, immediately reporting any accidents, injuries or unsafe conditions to management.
  • Shows when scheduled to work, on time, ready and able to perform essential job functions. 
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and practices.
  • Perform other tasks as directed.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

 Work Environment

This position operates throughout the dealership. Time will be spent outdoors, inside the dealership, and while sitting at a desk. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours will vary to accommodate the service department working hours.  This position regularly requires working evenings, weekends.

Note: Schedules are subject to change.  Two-weeks’ notice of a schedule change will be provided whenever possible.

Travel

Travel might be required to drive from one dealership to another, picking up or dropping off customers and/or their cars..
