What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Assistant/Technician position at ANDERSON ANIMAL HOSPITAL?
The job requires excellent communication skills, team player mentality, dependability and ability to learn with an open mind. Experience working with animals and specifically those with veterinary hospital setting experience required. Duties include client communication/education, assisting the doctors and other employees with patient care, restraint, x-rays, laboratory testing, surgical preparation and monitoring, hospital upkeep. Exposure to cats, dogs, horses, feces/urine/blood, and the ability to bend over and lift 50 pounds are required for this position. Weekends, and holidays are shared among employees.
