Andersen Plumbing & Heating – Inventory Specialist
Position Summary
The Inventory Specialist plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of Andersen Plumbing & Heating. The role is responsible for accurately tracking, organizing, and distributing inventory for both plumbing and HVAC service and install teams. This position ensures technicians have the right parts and materials to complete jobs efficiently, while maintaining a well-organized warehouse and accurate inventory records.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, label, and stock all incoming plumbing and HVAC materials, tools, and equipment.
- Issue parts to technicians and installers; properly record all material usage.
- Maintain clean, accurate, and standardized truck stock for field employees.
- Prepare job kits and stage materials for upcoming plumbing and HVAC installs.
- Track and document tool assignments, returns, and replacements.
- Process warranty returns, defective items, and vendor exchanges.
- Perform routine cycle counts and assist with annual physical inventory.
- Keep the Andersen warehouse clean, safe, and organized at all times.
- Report any discrepancies, shortages, or stock issues to Operations Manager.
- Support purchasing by identifying items that need restocking based on usage trends.
- Follow all Andersen Plumbing & Heating safety guidelines and procedures.
Skills & Qualifications
- Previous inventory or warehouse experience preferred; HVAC or plumbing knowledge a plus.
- Service Titan experience preferred.
- Strong organization and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more regularly.
- Ability to work independently while supporting a busy field team.
- Basic computer skills; experience with inventory systems ideal.
- Effective communication and teamwork attitude.
Schedule & Work Environment
- Full-time, Monday–Friday 7-4:30PM
- Work performed in the Andersen warehouse with regular lifting, stocking, bending, and walking.
