Experienced Tax Accountant (Client-Facing)

In this role, you’ll work directly with clients, preparing individual and small to medium business tax returns, assisting with basic tax planning, and helping clients feel informed and supported throughout the process. You’ll also contribute to occasional notice responses, light research, and team collaboration as you develop in your tax career.

What You’ll Do

• Be a friendly, reliable point of contact for clients.
• Prepare federal and state tax returns for individuals and small to medium businesses (including moderate-complexity cases).
• Manage a balanced client workload while collaborating closely with our small, tight-knit team.
• Assist with responding to tax notices and gathering information for audits.
• Conduct basic tax research to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain strong ethics, clear documentation, and quality work at every step.

What We’re Looking For

• 2–3 years of hands-on tax preparation experience.
• Solid understanding of individual returns and exposure to entity returns (S-corps, partnerships, etc.).
• Comfortable preparing personal returns and learning more complex business returns with guidance.
• Strong communicator who enjoys interacting with clients.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple deadlines.
• Motivated self-starter who takes ownership of their work.
• Committed to accuracy, professionalism, and client service.
