What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Operator position at AnDek Staffing Services?
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Production Operator will be responsible for testing the electronic functionality of products and assembling finished goods to ensure quality and operational efficiency.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Connects products to various electronic testing equipment to conduct functionality tests.
- Reviews computer monitors to verify whether products are functional correctly.
- Retains functional products and removes defective ones based on diagnostic results.
- Transfers products to next stage in the production process as required.
- Record test results on travelers or in computer database.
- Operates various machinery to complete assembly tasks, such as installing heat sinks, screws, casings, and other components.
- Follows established work instructions and procedures to maintain quality standards.
- May require overtime.
- Performs other work-related tasks as assigned.
GUIDELINES (ABILITIES, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS):
- Ability to follow detailed work instructions and procedures accurately
- Capable of alternating between sitting and standing positions
- Ability to walk short distances as needed within the production area
- Proficient in gripping and handling objects effectively
- Demonstrates good hand-eye coordination
- Capable of occasionally lifting and carrying items up to 10 pounds
- Basic knowledge of computer operations is preferred
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year experience in Manufacturing is preferred
