Key Responsibilities:
- Material Handling: Safely load, unload, and transport raw materials, components, and finished products using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records through proper labeling, scanning, and logging of materials in inventory systems.
- Receiving: Inspect and verify incoming shipments against packing slips and purchase orders; report any discrepancies or damages.
- Staging Materials: Prepare and deliver materials to production areas based on production schedules and requirements.
- Compliance: Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and safety protocols to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Warehouse Organization: Organize and maintain warehouse areas to optimize space and ensure cleanliness and safety.
- Documentation: Accurately complete shipping and receiving paperwork, batch records, and other required documentation.
- Quality Control: Inspect materials for quality and report any irregularities or potential issues to management.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance of material handling equipment.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with production, quality assurance, and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in material handling or warehouse operations are a plus.
- Experience in a manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment preferred.
- Familiarity with GMP, FDA, and OSHA regulations.
- Proficiency in using inventory management systems and basic computer applications.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment; certification preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling and recording materials.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials (up to 50 lbs.) and stand for extended periods.
