Material Handler

Key Responsibilities:

• Material Handling: Safely load, unload, and transport raw materials, components, and finished products using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
• Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records through proper labeling, scanning, and logging of materials in inventory systems.
• Receiving: Inspect and verify incoming shipments against packing slips and purchase orders; report any discrepancies or damages.
• Staging Materials: Prepare and deliver materials to production areas based on production schedules and requirements.
• Compliance: Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and safety protocols to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Warehouse Organization: Organize and maintain warehouse areas to optimize space and ensure cleanliness and safety.
• Documentation: Accurately complete shipping and receiving paperwork, batch records, and other required documentation.
• Quality Control: Inspect materials for quality and report any irregularities or potential issues to management.
• Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance of material handling equipment.
• Collaboration: Coordinate with production, quality assurance, and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in material handling or warehouse operations are a plus.
• Experience in a manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment preferred.
• Familiarity with GMP, FDA, and OSHA regulations.
• Proficiency in using inventory management systems and basic computer applications.
• Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment; certification preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling and recording materials.
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials (up to 50 lbs.) and stand for extended periods.
