What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mentor position at AnchorPoint Counseling?

This isn't just a typical mentoring program — many of our clients are navigating tough circumstances (court involvement, child welfare cases, family crisis) and may be hard to reach at first. We need someone patient, steady, and ready to do meaningful work, even when it's challenging.
What you'll do:
- Build trust-based relationships with youth and/or parents on your caseload
- Meet regularly with clients in person (home, community, or agency settings)
- Support clients in working toward their service plan goals
- Document visits and communicate with caseworkers
- Attend treatment team and family planing meetings and represent professionally
What we're looking for:
- Comfortable working with clients who may be guarded or resistant
- Reliable, organized, and able to handle a flexible part-time schedule (you set your own hours!)
- Calm under pressure
- No degree required — paid training provided
- Must pass background check
- Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable, insured vehicle required (clients will ride in your vehicle)
Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
Experience:
- child/youth worker: 1 year (Required)
