Anchorage Sleep Center is seeking a skilled and motivated Nurse Practitioner to join our growing team. We are a comprehensive, multi-location sleep disorders practice dedicated to delivering exceptional, patient-centered sleep health services across Alaska. Role Overview
- Provides patient care in outpatient clinic setting.
- Performs assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of sleep disorders and preventative care in adults and pediatric patients.
- Coordinates management of chronic health problems including diabetes, hypertension, cardiac conditions, chronic lung disease, etc.
- Orders and/or schedules laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures. Communicates necessity, preparation, nature and anticipated effects of scheduled procedures to patients.
- Educate patients on health habits, behavior management, need for follow-up assessments and treatments, at home medical care, medication and other issues related to medical or health problems.
- Arranges for consultations with or referrals to other medical professional or community services.
- Participates in professional development activities and organizations to maintain knowledge of current trends, practices, and developments.
- Provides guidance to assigned professional and support staff.
- Collaborate with other team members to share and establish best practice for clinic.
- Completes patient and related documentation in accordance with company standards and protocols and in compliance with policies.
- Ensures timely and effective follow-up to coordinate care on behalf of patients.
Requirements
- Licensed in Alaska as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
- BCLS certification.
- 2 years of experience in sleep medicine or related specialty (pulmonary, neurology, primary care).
- Strong clinical assessment and patient communication skills.
Schedule & Compensation
- Flexible 8- or 10-hour shifts, Monday–Saturday.
