What are the responsibilities and job description for the DIVISION ASSET MANAGER position at Anchorage Sand & Gravel?
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
* Maintain an accurate inventory of all assets within the division, including equipment, vehicles, and facilities, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
* Develop and manage budgets, negotiate contracts with vendors, and analyze costs to identify opportunities for savings while maintaining quality.
* Coordinate scheduled maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime and extend asset lifespan.
* Ensure all assets meet safety and regulatory standards, working closely with safety and compliance teams.
* Lead and mentor a team of Equipment Managers, technicians, and support staff, fostering professional growth and promoting teamwork.
* Manage relationships with suppliers and service providers for asset procurement, maintenance, and upgrades.
* Track equipment performance metrics, conduct inspections, and implement data-driven improvements for efficiency and reliability.
* Prepare regular reports on asset utilization, costs, performance, and other metrics for divisional leadership review.
* Work with division and regional leadership to align asset management strategies with business goals.
Minimum Qualifications:
* A minimum of 10 years of experience in a management-level position within the construction materials or construction industries.
* Strong understanding of asset lifecycle management, inventory systems, and maintenance practices.
* Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
* Availability to travel approximately 40% of the time is necessary.
* Proficiency in asset management software and tools
* Leadership experience with a proven ability to manage and mentor teams.
* Familiarity with safety standards and regulatory compliance in the construction materials industry.
