What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ambassador position at Anchorage Downtown Partnership, Ltd.?
We are a local nonprofit dedicated to making downtown Anchorage clean, safe, and vibrant for everyone.

Ambassador Responsibilities:
- Summer
- Perform daily trash pickup and litter removal from sidewalk and public areas.
- Respond to service requests such as pressure washing, trash removal, or graffiti removal.
- Report safety or maintenance issues (broken signage, encampments, suspicious behavior) to supervisors or authorities.
- Winter
- Perform snow and ice removal from sidewalks and public areas to ensure safe pedestrian access.
- Respond to service requests such as clearing snow piles, salting/ice melt application, and litter removal.
- Provide event support during winter activities, including setup, breakdown, and onsite assistance as needed.
- Receive training on and operate ATVs, Bobcat, and plow equipment for snow and ice management.
Job Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to walk or stand for extended periods and work outdoors in all weather conditions (summer heat, winter snow/ice).
- Comfortable engaging with a diverse public in a friendly and professional manner.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to undergo training, including safety protocols, customer service, and operation of equipment such as ATVs, Bobcat, and plow.
