- Prepare clear, complete, and accurate working plans and detailed drawings from sketches or notes for engineering purposes.
- Draft plans and drawings for layout, construction, and operation of pipeline systems from field notes, rough or detailed sketches, and specifications; make adjustments or changes as necessary.
- Develop detailed drawings for construction of equipment and structures such as frame, steel, and masonry buildings, piping manifolds, and pipeline systems.
- Check dimensions of parts, materials to be used, the relation of one part to another, and relation of various parts to whole structure or project.
- Use knowledge of various machines, engineering practices, mathematics, building materials, and other physical sciences to complete drawings.
- Provide advice and consultation to client(s) on engineering matters, including compliance with government laws and regulations.
- Develop and manage client relationships.
- High School Diploma with design-drafting training through a college or vocational/technical school.
- Designer mechanical design experience: 8 years, and Arctic experience.
- Drafter mechanical design experience: 1 years, and Arctic experience.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and standard business software (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to communicate technical information and requirements to individuals with a wide range of varying technical expertise.
- Ability to contribute to a positive work atmosphere through effective interactions and communications with co-workers, customers and management.
