An apprentice level industrial maintenance position for Anchor Technical, an industrial plant performance contractor based in Fort Worth, Texas.


Primary Responsibilities:


  • Ensure all operations adhere to industry best practices for safety (by OSHA standards)
  • Work independently or as part of a team with initiative and limited supervision
  • Responding to customer callouts and field dispatches as dispatched
  • Serves customer relationships by understanding work order requests, investigating complaints, conducting tests, resolving problems, and communicating with customer representatives to coordinate maintenance activities
  • Work perform maintenance, and repair faulty equipment for package handling systems in industrial settings
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance as needed
  • Generate service reports that explain the work provided, parts provided, and clear understanding of the issue, the solution, and any follow-up needed. Completes timesheets, expense reports, and parts lists as needed. All done in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintains an organized work vehicle with necessary tools, manuals and parts required to provide efficient repairs and installations
  • Use various tools and equipment, including test instruments, calibration equipment, hand tools, and power tools, to perform maintenance tasks


Required Knowledge, Skill, Abilities, and Competencies:


  • Complete pre-employment skills evaluation consistent with Field Service Technician I capabilities
  • Ability to provide both customers safe, clean, reliable, on-time, courteous service
  • Knowledge of the applicable occupational hazards and safety precautions
  • Knowledge of the standard methods, practices, materials, tools, and equipment of the industrial maintenance trade
  • Knowledgeable of the mechanical, electrical/control, pneumatic, and hydraulic operating characteristics of a variety of equipment and machinery
  • Ability to use five senses to detect faulty operation of equipment or defective materials and notify supervisor and customer
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Ability to lift, carry, and handle items weighing up to 50lbs frequently
  • Ability to understand and execute oral and written instructions
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Ability to travel to client locations and be “on call” at certain times
  • Conveyor (material handling equipment) experience preferred


Required Education, Training, and Certifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Documented 1-3yrs of experience as industrial maintenance technician or related trade experience or military training (electrical, mechanical, electronics)
  • Computer literacy: competency in use of all programs within Microsoft Office products and aptitude for learning specialized software programs
  • Must have or obtain OSHA10-Construction certification within 90 days of hire
  • Must have valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and pass a pre-employment drug screen

  • PPE - steel or composite toe footwear
  • 25’ tape measure
  • Digital Caliper tool
  • 6” & 12” crescent wrench
  • 5 pc. Plier set (linemen, diagonal, needle nose, slip joint, arc-joint)
  • Wire strippers
  • 4lb hammer
  • Ballpeen hammer
  • Screwdriver set
  • Allen wrench set (SAE/metric)
  • Torx wrench set (T8-T60)
  • Wrench set up to 1 1/8” (SAE/metric)
  • Socket set up to 1 1/8” (SAE/metric)
  • 2’ level
  • Fluke 179 Digital Multimeter (recommended to invest in personal unit, not required)
