- Support and influence project acquisition
- Build relationships that translate into awarded work
Responsibilities
- Stand up and lead electric utility field operations from the ground up
- Establish processes across construction, maintenance, and outage response
- Recruit, hire, and develop field teams, supervisors, and contractors
- Implement safety programs and ensure compliance with OSHA, NERC, FERC, and ERCOT standards
- Create scalable operating procedures and performance metrics
- Support business development efforts tied to electric utility services
- Leverage industry knowledge to identify opportunities within utilities, co-ops, and municipalities
- Contribute to contract acquisition through understanding of registration requirements, compliance standards, and bid and award processes
- Build relationships with key stakeholders, utilities, and partners
- Collaborate with leadership to expand service offerings and geographic reach
- Oversee day-to-day operations across active field work
- Lead outage response and emergency restoration efforts
- Ensure quality, safety, and execution consistency across all projects
- Maintain strong field presence, particularly during early-stage buildout
- 4 years of hands-on utility field experience with leadership responsibility or Associate’s degree with relevant field and supervisory experience
- OSHA certifications
- Valid CDL (or ability to obtain)
- Proven experience within electric utility field operations (non-negotiable)
- Track record of leading crews and managing field execution
- Experience building or scaling teams, functions, or service lines
- Working knowledge of utility contracting, compliance, and bid processes
- Ability to operate in both operational leadership and client-facing environments
- Strong understanding of distribution systems, outage response, and reliability
