This is a full-time Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) position based on-site in Buffalo, MN. The role involves providing assessment, treatment planning, individual and group counseling, and ongoing support for individuals addressing substance use and behavioral health challenges. The counselor will collaborate with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to develop personalized recovery strategies. Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate documentation, adhering to ethical standards, and staying informed about evidence-based practices in the field.
- Licensure as a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) or an equivalent credential
- Skills in assessment, treatment planning, and substance use disorder counseling
- Strong ability to facilitate individual and group therapy
- Proficiency in accurate documentation and understanding of ethical guidelines in behavioral health
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with clients, families, and team members
- Experience or training in evidence-based practices, such as CBT or motivational interviewing, is a plus
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field
- Knowledge of community resources and commitment to community-based care
