Board-Certified Behavior Analyst - Clinical Director

Position Summary

A new, family-centered ABA clinic is being developed in Sumter, South Carolina, with a target opening in early 2027. We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Board Certified Behavior Analyst interested in helping build a high-quality clinical program from the ground up.

This is an opportunity for a BCBA who wants more than an assigned caseload. The selected candidate will have a meaningful voice in clinical programming, staff development, center policies, caregiver collaboration, treatment quality, and the overall culture of the organization.

The founding BCBA may also have the opportunity to begin limited paid planning and consultation work before the center’s official opening.

Responsibilities

• Complete and oversee behavioral assessments and treatment plans
• Supervise and support RBTs and other clinical team members
• Develop individualized, ethical and family-centered programming
• Provide caregiver training and collaboration
• Establish clinical documentation and quality-assurance systems
• Assist with RBT recruitment, competency development and retention
• Support Medicaid and commercial-insurance credentialing processes
• Help develop policies for safety, supervision, crisis response and clinical integrity
• Maintain compliance with BACB, payer and applicable state requirements
• Participate in developing a positive, sustainable center culture

Required Qualifications

• Active BCBA certification in good standing
• Graduate degree in behavior analysis, psychology, education or a related field
• Experience supervising RBTs and delivering ABA services to children
• Ability to complete assessments, treatment plans and protocol modifications
• Eligibility to enroll or become credentialed with South Carolina Medicaid and commercial insurance plans
• Strong communication, leadership and caregiver-collaboration skills
• Commitment to ethical, individualized and assent-aware services
• Ability to work on-site in Sumter, South Carolina

Preferred Qualifications

• Three or more years of BCBA experience
• Experience in a clinic or center-based ABA program
• Previous leadership, clinical-director or program-development experience
• Knowledge of South Carolina Medicaid requirements
• Experience helping launch or expand an ABA program
• Experience serving young children and collaborating with early-intervention providers

Important Notice

This is an anticipated position associated with a new ABA center currently in development. Final employment terms and start date will depend upon completion of the facility, payer credentialing, enrollment development and mutually agreed-upon terms. Pay: $90,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
