The Vendor Manager serves as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for assigned vendor relationships, ensuring that vendor partnerships deliver maximum value to the organization. The ideal candidate takes a proactive and strategic approach to vendor management, continuously evaluating vendor effectiveness, identifying opportunities for optimization, and aligning vendor services with evolving business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage assigned vendor relationships and serve as the primary point of contact for vendor-related matters.
- Oversee vendor performance, service delivery, contractual commitments, and compliance requirements.
- Monitor and evaluate vendor effectiveness through performance metrics, service reviews, and ongoing business engagement.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with vendor relationships.
- Develop strong partnerships with internal stakeholders to understand business goals, operational needs, and strategic priorities.
- Provide guidance and recommendations regarding vendor utilization, performance improvements, and optimization opportunities.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between vendors and internal business partners.
- Support contract management activities, including renewals, amendments, negotiations, and vendor governance processes.
- Ensure vendor relationships evolve alongside changing business needs and organizational priorities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on maximizing vendor value, operational efficiency, and business outcomes.
Qualifications
- Experience managing vendor relationships, supplier partnerships, or third-party service providers.
- Strong understanding of vendor governance, contract management, risk management, and performance management practices.
- Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders across multiple levels of an organization.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working cross-functionally with business, operational, and leadership teams.
- Ability to balance strategic planning with day-to-day vendor management responsibilities.
Pay: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour
