What are the responsibilities and job description for the Injection Molding Set Up/ Processor position at Anchor Plastics, Inc.?
Anchor Plastics is on track for a 25% growth over the next year and is looking for someone to join our team in the Set Up position. This is a First Shift position. We run four (9) hour shifts and 1/2 day on Friday. This is also a fast track managerial opportunity spot.
it is a climate-controlled environment. So yes, its Air Conditioned and Heated.
We have plenty of internal growth opportunities. Most of our managers started as Mold Techs and were promoted.
We have two planned shutdowns, the week of 4th of July and two weeks during the Christmas / New year holiday with holiday pay. 80 hours of vacation pay after 90 days probation.
Anchor is an EEOC company.
Must have 3-5 years minimum experience in plastic injection molding.

Reports to: Production supervisor
- Load and unload molds from the presses.
- Mold set up and job changeover
- Monitoring quality and efficiency of production
- Material handling
- Monitoring parts.
- Daily efficiencies on running parts.
- Starting and stopping presses.
- Second operations:
- General cleaning of the production area and machinery.
- Clean and maintain presses
- Using databases, networking and other available tools, work with the President to build our customer base through general correspondence, providing excellent customer service and quotes.
- Boxing and packaging of parts at press
- Material staging and inventory
- Running Manual Presses
- Cleaning grinders and dryers
- Working with the Quality Manager, create or update position procedures manual, following documentation change control policies.
- Other duties as assigned or required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check required
- High school diploma or equivalent, technical degree preferred.
- Must read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Previous participation on a safety team and/or other safety training a plus
- Lean manufacturing and/or quality control training preferred
- Ability to lift up to 55 pounds and stand, bend, and stoop.
