Location: Pflugerville, TX (In-Office)
Schedule: Part-Time (Approx. 20 hours/week)
Compensation: Hourly rate based on experience
Anchor MEP Engineers is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern interested in pursuing a career in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) Design in construction. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain real-world experience working alongside seasoned MEP professionals with over 30 years of industry expertise. You’ll contribute to active projects, develop technical skills, and gain exposure to the design and coordination process that brings buildings to life. In this role, you will:
- Assist with MEP engineering tasks and project support
- Support drafting and documentation using AutoCAD
- Participate in real project workflows and coordination efforts
- Learn industry standards, design practices, and construction processes
Required:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering or relevant experience in MEP design/fieldwork
- Minimum: Sophomore standing or 2 years of relevant experience
Preferred:
- Junior or Senior-level student
- Completed Coursework in:
- Thermodynamics
- Heat Transfer
- Fluid Mechanics
- AutoCAD drafting experience
Note: If you do not have AutoCAD experience, completion of an AutoCAD for MEP Design & Drafting course prior to the start date is required. Details will be provided to the successful candidate.
Computer / Software Requirements
- Access to single-user AutoCAD and Bluebeam licenses (student licenses acceptable)
- Personal laptop/computer capable of running AutoCAD efficiently (gaming-level or comparable specs recommended)
