Job Purpose:
The IT Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining technology solutions that directly support Anchor’s strategic business objectives. This role requires hands-on development of Windows and mobile-based applications, internal and external-facing sales portals, rules-based configurators, and business intelligence reporting tools, as well as integration with Anchor’s Microsoft D365 ERP system. The primary deliverable is the creation of efficient, scalable applications that drive operational improvements and enhance decision-making across the company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Application Development
- Design, code, test, and deploy custom applications using SQL, C#, VBA, and other programming languages.
- Develop and maintain customer sales portals and internal rules-based configurators.
- Integrate applications and data flows with Microsoft D365 ERP.
Business Intelligence & Analytics
- Build and maintain BI dashboards, reports, and data models to support business leaders with actionable insights.
- Automate reporting processes to improve visibility into sales, operations, and supply chain performance.
Systems Integration & Support
- Collaborate with IT and business teams to identify process gaps and design technology-driven solutions.
- Ensure system integrity, scalability, and performance through effective coding practices and testing.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for applications and integrations.
Strategic Contribution
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Sales, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance) to identify opportunities for efficiency and cost reduction.
- Align development projects with company strategic goals and long-term growth initiatives.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in SQL database design and query optimization.
- Strong knowledge of programming languages such as SQL, C#, VBA.
- Familiarity with API integrations, web application frameworks, and rules-based engines.
- Experience in BI dashboard/report development and analytics.
Soft Skills:
- Strong mathematical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate across departments and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset and attention to detail.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). Industry certifications in applicable programming languages desired.
- 3 years of professional development experience in SQL, C#, or similar programming languages.
- Experience developing applications integrated with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft D365.
- Hands-on experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent).
