Job Purpose:
To sell custom fabric products (pool covers, awnings, shade structures) using technical, organizational, and customer knowledge to influence customers and vendors, assisting them in understanding product specifications, quality, and pricing. In addition, the position provides input and participates in the marketing, market planning and technical development of products and services.
Education/Experience:
Prefer a college graduate. Work experience should include a minimum of two (2) years in sales, sales support or customer service.

- Basic understanding / knowledge of geometry.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Contact current customers and prospects through phone calls, personal visits, trade shows, e-mails, mailing, fax and seminars to promote the sale of Anchor Industries’ custom products.
- Generate and qualify new customer leads through multiple approaches, including cold calls.
- Develop new accounts by pursuing and managing leads.
- Close sales in a professional and effective manner to meet specific sales goals.
- Prepare orders using Anchor’s manufacturing system.
- Provide customer service involving repairs and returns of Anchor Industries’ products.
- Gather and share customer information and feedback.
- Maintain up-to-date working knowledge of newly developing technologies and manufacturing practices.
- Ensure a positive corporate image by communicating openly, honestly and constructively; treating all customers and co-workers with dignity, respect and courtesy.
- Present product demonstrations at trade shows and conferences.
Travel Requirements:
Approximately 6 weeks per year for trade shows, training, or customer visits (domestic travel primarily).
