Responsibilities:
The IT Manager is responsible for managing Information Systems, Local Area Network (LAN), Network Server, AS400/HMS Server, telephone systems and all hospital workstations. Requisition and management of hardware, circuits, and services. Development and maintenance of vendor relations. Digital video cameras- software installation, monitoring, system administration, and maintenance. Network server and workstation hardware/ software upgrade and data migration. Oversees and facilitates the installation and maintenance of IT systems, hardware, and software. Analyzes software and hardware needs for the organization. Identifies and recommends upgrades and changes to hardware and software, maintaining efficient and effective operations in the organization. Facilitates and oversees the technical support roles, ensuring effective and helpful support is provided to end-users. Maintains knowledge of trends and developments in information technology, alerting senior staff of the effects of widespread software and hardware revisions, changes, and discontinuation will have on the organization’s systems and operations. Communicates and collaborates with the Corporate IS team and other departments as required. Perform data entry as required. Create and maintain user documentation and procedure manuals. Perform training and education for affected staff.
Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related field required. Minimum (2) two year’s experience administrating networks, servers and client personal computers; experience with database programming, and office suite software; prior healthcare MIS environment preferred
