Manufacturing Production Supervisor

Position Summary:

As a member of the Corelle Brands manufacturing leadership team the Production Supervisor will be responsible for leadership of 7 x 24 manufacturing activities while on shift. This person will be a safety champion who understands all aspects of OSHA compliance related to manufacturing operations. Lead and direct production associates to assure maximum machine output while maintaining required product quality with minimum downtime. The supervisor must learn the details of all manufacturing activities including SAP management of raw materials, IQMS scheduling and production reporting, product labeling and packaging, and finished goods disposition. The supervisor is responsible to maintain proper crewing and report all results and follow up requirements while in the plant. They will also participate in the development and deployment of site policies and practices as well as leading training for all production and support personnel.

Shift: Rotating 12-hour schedule (4 days on, 4 days off)

What will you do?

• Leads efforts to meet or exceed objectives for Safety, Productivity, Quality, Customer Service and Housekeeping. Manages all the day-to-day operational activities and works in a team environment with all other departments.
• Plan & direct production efforts including coordination with maintenance and tool room activities.
• Responsible to monitor, maintain and seek improvement of production quality and OEE based on real time performance.
• Maintain accurate / detailed log book entries of activities within shifts. Responsible to oversee employee time keeping, attendance records, overtime lists and reconcile production reports
• Sustain constant dialog with cross functional departments to improve performance on all KPIs and reduce equipment downtime.
• Enforce all plant safety rules and plant policies. Perform Safety audits and process audits to ensure strict adherence
• Plan work and set priorities for operations personnel. Assesses competency, and develop and implements ongoing training programs to improve performance of assigned resources.
• Identify problems, provides troubleshooting expertise, offer solutions

Required Qualifications:

• Associates Degree in related operational field or 5 years of proven manufacturing supervisory experience.
• Effectively leads by example and has the confidence to lead a team. Proven leadership capability in management involving cross-functional teams
• Experience in operating plastic injection molding machines and polypro resin.
• Working knowledge of JSW, Krauss Maffei, Toshiba, Husky and Toyo machines is plus
• Hands on experience using IQMS and SAP software
• Demonstrated skills in communicating (written and oral) with peers, team members, executive management and with others in the industry
• Demonstrated skills in effective leadership, planning, analysis, problem solving, judgment and decision making
• Ability to pass basic mechanical aptitude testing
• Experience utilizing MS Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and CAD software
• Critical thinking, strong interpersonal skills, ability to develop others
