We are seeking a Housekeeping Staff member to join our team at the Mental Health Rehabilitation Center (MHRC).
Summary Overview:
The Housekeeping Staff is essential in creating and maintaining a clean, safe, sanitary, and comfortable environment for residents, clients, and staff. This person performs routine cleaning and facility maintenance to ensure all areas of the center meet or exceed regulatory cleanliness and sanitation standards, in line with state licensing requirements under Sections § 787.13 and § 787.14 of the California Code of Regulations.
Duties
- Clean and sanitize all assigned areas of the facility, including resident rooms, common areas, bathrooms, hallways, and offices.
- Dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors on a regular basis.
- Emptying trash receptacles and disposing of waste in accordance with facility procedures.
- Cleaning and disinfecting high-touch surfaces such as doorknobs, light switches, and handrails.
- Restocking supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, and soap in restrooms and common areas.
- Respond promptly to urgent and unplanned housekeeping needs throughout the facility, including spills, accidents, and other emergencies.
- Offers laundering assistance to resident occupants.
- Reporting any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate supervisor.
- Adhering to safety protocols and using cleaning chemicals and equipment in a safe manner.
- Maintaining confidentiality and respecting the privacy of residents and staff at all times.
- Collaborating with other members of the facility staff to ensure a positive living and working environment.
- Participating in training sessions and staff meetings as required.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
