Anchor Family Services, Inc wants to help children find a solid foundation and provide an opportunity to anchor in physical and emotional well-being. We know that families can help children in care navigate the sometimes difficult task and emotions that come with being in care.
Anchor Family Services, Inc is looking for home study writer to complete the home study screening for potential foster families. The candidate must be excellent at writing detail reports and completing them by a deadline. We are seeking someone that has experience writing home studies, especially for Child Placing Agencies. They must be able to provide excellent customer service and work well with a team. The candidate must also have transportation and be able to travel to where families reside.
The candidate must possess a Bachelor's or Master"s degree from an accredited university. They must also have experience completing home studies.
Responsibilities:
Be able to complete the home screening process and give a detail report in all areas that meet DFPS standards
Address sensitive subjects and ask follow-up questions to any areas of concerns.
Be self motivated to call and set up appointments for the home study process both morning, mid-day, evening, and weekends.
Be able to complete home studies in a timely manner and by a deadline.
Be able to travel to the potential foster families home to complete the home study process.
Complete required trainings or provide proof of trainings as required by HHSC and Anchor Family Services. This position pays $250-$300 per approved home-study.
Qualifications:
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a social service related field, a Master's degree is preferred.
Knowledgeable with DFPS standards for the home screening process
Ability to drive to potential foster home. (current driver's license needed)
at least 1 year experience conducting and writing home studies for foster families.
