Anchor Construction is a small, hands-on general contractor specializing in high-quality residential remodels, custom homes and new construction projects throughout the Truckee/Tahoe area. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Experienced Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing a wide range of carpentry tasks with precision and efficiency, ensuring that all projects meet quality standards and safety regulations. Your expertise will contribute to the successful completion of residential, projects, helping us deliver exceptional craftsmanship and client satisfaction. Duties

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute construction plans.
• Perform framing, trim carpentry, drywall installation, and finishing work with attention to detail.
• Operate hand tools, power tools and fabrication equipment safely and effectively.
• Install fixtures, cabinetry, doors, siding, roofing components, and other building elements.
• Conduct concrete forming, masonry work, rebar installation, and metal stud framing as needed for various projects.
• Engage in restoration activities including water damage remediation, plastering, stucco application, mold remediation, and general renovation tasks as applicable.
• Assist with plumbing, electrical work, flooring installation, tile laying, and roofing to support comprehensive project completion.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure adherence to safety protocols and project timelines while managing heavy lifting and physical demands efficiently.

Requirements

• Proven experience in construction, framing carpentry, trim carpentry, and general woodworking.
• Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings relevant to construction projects.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and fabrication techniques.
• Demonstrated experience working on construction sites with a focus on safety standards and quality control.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle physically demanding tasks regularly.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail in fixture installation, siding application, masonry work, and remodeling projects.
• Valid experience in the installation of doors, cabinets, flooring, tile work, metal studs framing, roofing components or related fields is highly desirable.

* Our work is majorly located in the Truckee area, but Monday mornings meetings will be located at our headquarters in Reno. Must be willing to travel to both locations.
