DESCRIPTION
As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll support our maintenance needs across the production floor and facility. It is a good fit for someone with one to two years of hands-on maintenance experience or someone who has completed relevant technical or mechanical coursework and is ready to grow into the trade. The Maintenance Technician will assist with troubleshooting, repairs and preventative maintenance of production equipment, as well as general building and facilities upkeep.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform troubleshooting, repair and preventative maintenance on shop equipment to include motors, bearings, oven curing equipment, air compressors, pneumatic tools, ventilation systems, basic electrical, forklifts and light HVAC.
- Work independently, demonstrate strong initiative, and manage tasks with minimal supervision
- Apply solid mechanical aptitude to diagnose issues and complete repairs efficiently
- Handle facilities maintenance, including basic building repairs, light plumbing, painting, and general shop upkeep
- Use the ERP system to log maintenance activities and keep accurate, timely records
- Support overall equipment reliability and help identify opportunities for improvement
- Respond to maintenance requests promptly and prioritize work based on urgency
- Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements and company policies while performing maintenance tasks
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to support a safe working environment

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Regularly works in a production and shop environment with noise, dust and varying temperature
- Requires frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching and climbing ladders
- Must be able to lift, carry or move items and equipment parts up to 50 pounds
- Uses hand tools, power tools and maintenance equipment throughout the workday
