Server

The Server is responsible for providing exceptional guest service by ensuring a welcoming dining experience, accurately taking and delivering orders, maintaining food and beverage quality standards, and supporting overall restaurant operations. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, teamwork, and a commitment to guest satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet all guests promptly and professionally
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the restaurant and bar menus, including ingredients, preparation methods, and daily specials.
• Answer guest questions and make informed menu recommendations.
• Utilize suggestive selling techniques to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately, recording and repeating orders back to guests for confirmation.
• Serve food and beverages in a professional, courteous, and timely manner.
• Anticipate guest needs and ensure guests have everything necessary throughout their dining experience.
• Accurately enter orders into the POS system.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and bartenders regarding guest orders and special requests.
• Prepare and deliver beverage orders as required while maintaining clear communication with the bar team.
• Verify that all food and beverages meet company standards for quality, presentation, and freshness before serving.
• Check and verify guest identification to ensure compliance with all state and local alcohol service laws.
• Follow all restaurant policies, health regulations, and safety procedures.
• Support fellow team members and assist other servers as needed to ensure efficient restaurant operations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas throughout each shift.
• Clean, sanitize, and reset tables promptly.
• Complete all assigned opening, running, and closing side work.
• Process guest payments accurately and complete end-of-shift checkout procedures, including tip reporting and payouts.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
• Ability to frequently lift and carry heavy items.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of service.
